Career :
Mithoon started his career by remaking two songs: “Woh Lamhe” in the movie Zeher and “Aadat” in Kalyug.
In 2006, Mithoon’s friend suggested him to Onir, the director of Bas Ek Pal, who needed an electro-based title track.
This led to his first original song as a composer, “Bas Ek Pal,” with singer KK, followed by “Tere Bin” sung by Atif Aslam in 2006. Both songs were featured in the film Bas Ek Pal.
Back in 2007, Mithoon gave us the soundtrack for Anwar, and honestly, it hasn’t aged a day.
Songs like “Maula Mere” and “Tose Naina Lage” are still the go-to tracks for anyone looking for that deep, spiritual vibe.
It’s rare for songs to stay this popular for nearly 20 years, but these two have basically become the “national anthems” of soulful Bollywood music.
Mithoon also composed songs outside films, like Atif Aslam’s “Kuch Is Tarah” and Abhijeet Sawant’s “Ek Shaqs.”
He released his album Tu Hi Mere Rab Ki Tarah Hai in 2009, recorded with UK Philharmonic musicians. Later, his work in Murder 2 and Aashiqui 2 made him widely popular.
He has also worked on films such as:
| Jism 2 | Gadar 2 |
| Radhe Shyam | Khuda Haafiz |

Mithoon Sharma’s contribution in Border 2
Border 2: In Border 2 (released January 23, 2026), “Mitti Ke Bete” has emerged as the true heartbeat of the movie.
While the film is packed with action, this song is what people are carrying home in their hearts.
The Duo: The song brings together the legendary Sonu Nigam and Mithoon. Sonu Nigam’s voice adds that familiar, classic Bollywood sincerity, while Mithoon’s composition keeps it modern yet hauntingly beautiful.
The Mithoon Touch: You can hear his signature style everywhere—starting with a delicate, soft piano that eventually builds into a massive, sweeping finish. It’s designed to give you goosebumps rather than just a shot of adrenaline.
