Smartphone maker Motorola will launch a new smartphone ‘Motorola Edge 50’ in the mid-budget segment on August 1. And the company claims the Motorola Edge-50 is the world’s thinnest smartphone with MIL-810H certification.

The smartphone will get a 50-megapixel Sony-LYTIA 700C camera equipped with ‘Moto AI’, a 6.67-inch OLED curved display and a 5000mAh battery with 68W charging support. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will have 256GB of storage and three colour options.

The company has shared information about its key specifications and the launch on its website and social media handles. However, its price has not been shared yet. However, according to media reports, the starting price of the smartphone can be Rs 29,999.

Motorola Edge 50: Expected Specifications

Display: Motorola Edge 50 has a 6.67-inch pOLED curved display with 144Hz refresh rate. Its peak brightness is 1900 nits and its resolution is 1.5k. It is MIL-STD 810H certified, which is given for pressure, dust, and fog protection.

Camera: For photography, the triple camera setup on the back panel of the smartphone will have a 50MP Sony-LYTIA 700C primary and 13 MP + 10 MP secondary camera. At the same time, a 32-megapixel front camera can also be found for selfies and video calling.

Battery: For power backup, Motorola Edge 50 is expected to get a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging support.

OS and Processor: For performance, the company can provide Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, an octa-core processor working on Android 14 in this smartphone.

RAM and Storage: The smartphone can have two RAM and two storage options. It will have the option of 128GB storage with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with 12GB RAM.

Connectivity: The phone will get 15 5G bands, 4G, 3G, 2G, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth. Also, you will get in-display fingerprint with USB Type C for charging.
