Murthy received as much criticism as support after this statement. However, experts believe that this will have a bad effect on people’s health.

He said, ‘I used to think that corporate governance meant that the family should not be involved in it. Because in those days most of the businesses were family-owned, in which the children of the family used to come and run the company. There was a lot of violation of corporate rules in these.’

Infosys was founded by Narayana Murthy in 1981

Narayana Murthy founded India’s second largest tech firm Infosys in 1981. He was the CEO of the company from then till 2002. After this, he was the chairman of the board from 2002 to 2006.

Murthy retired from the company in August 2011 with the title of Chairman Emeritus. However, he once again entered the company in 2013 as the executive chairman. During this time, his son Rohan Murthy was working as his executive assistant.
