NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) on May 4. Clearing this exam clears the way to become a doctor, as well as admission to MBBS, BDS and other medical programmes.

NEET UG 2025: 180 Mandatory Questions, 3-Hour Duration
This year, the NEET UG 2025 exam will have 180 compulsory questions – 45 from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology. The exam will be conducted in a single shift, which will begin at 2 PM and end at 5 PM. The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes.
NEET UG Exam During COVID-19: 200 Questions with Only 180 to Attempt
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NTA had provided relaxation for the NEET UG exam. During the Covid period, the question paper had 200 questions, but candidates had to attempt only 180. Each subject—physics, chemistry, and biology—had a specific format. Biology was divided into two sections. Section A had 35 compulsory questions, while section B had 15 questions, of which candidates could attempt any 10.
NEET Marking Scheme

NTA has not made any changes in the NEET marking scheme. NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The total marks for NEET 2025 will be 720. Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be awarded for multiple answers or no answers at all.
