Major NIA Action in J&K: Raids Conducted at 12 Locations Over Infiltration Case

J&K: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a major operation in the case of terrorist infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir. The agency is conducting searches at 12 locations across the region.

Officials said that raids have been going on since morning in coordination with police and security forces based on specific intelligence inputs.

J&K: Search Operations at Terrorist Hideouts

J&K: Police and security forces are conducting searches at the hideouts of overground workers and hybrid terrorists. Under this operation, the hideouts of supporters and cadres of these organizations are also being searched.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had on October 24 registered a case under the directions of the Home Ministry in connection with the infiltration of terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed into Indian territory through the International Border and the Line of Control.

Search Conducted in Past as Well

Earlier on 13 December 2024, the NIA had raided a total of 19 places including various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. These raids were conducted in Reasi, Budgam, Anantnag and Baramulla districts. Apart from this, on 21 November 2024, the NIA also raided many areas of Jammu.
