Pakistan Vs India: Playing XI Of The Men In Blue –
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Harshit Rana/Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav/Varun Chakrabarthy.
Despite winning the 1st match of this fifty overs tournament, India still has the room to make changes in their playing eleven for their second match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. But many experts will also think why to distrub the winning combination and make those changes?
However these changes might be impactful for the Men in Blue in their match against the archrivals Pakistan, who is a stronger team in the One Day International format than India’s pervious opponent, Bangladesh. Even tough, Pakistan has lost their opening match, which was against a stronger opponent, New Zealand.
But still, India should not take them lightly. The team management of the Men in Blue should look to bring Arshdeep Singh back for this crucial encounter because Singh has the more skill to swing the ball in the initial overs. Shami, who picked up a five fer in the last match used that early moisture perfectly.
So if Arshdeep shares the new ball with Mohammed Shami, then that would cause the trouble for Pakistan in the early overs. Varun Chakrabarthy should replace Kuldeep Yadav. The chinaman bowler, Kuldeep didnt pick up any wickets and Pakistani batters have not seen much of Varun, which may play a trick for India in tnis match.
Pakistan Vs India: Playing Of The Men In Green –
Pakistan has a huge problem to find the replacement of their opener Fakhar Zaman. Saud Shakeel was asked to open in their first match against the Kiwis. But he scored just six runs. Only Kushdil Shah and Babar Azam scored half centuries in the opening match.
But the home side, Pakistan will need runs from the other batsmen as well to hurt India. That’s why Pakistan should open the innings with their current skipper Mohammad Rizwan and former captain Babar Azam and let Saud Shakeel to bat at number three batting position.
Pakistan should also strengthen their pace bowling. They should look to bring Mohammad Hasnain in their playing eleven. Adding an extra pace bowling option would trouble the Indian batters, who look weak against the swing bowlers at the start of their innings.
Mohammed Rizwan (C and WK), Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Salman Agha, Faheem Ashraf, Tayyab Tahir, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Mohammed Hasnain.
