What is G20?
The G20 (Group of Twenty) is an international forum that comprises 19 countries and the European Union (EU). It aims to discuss and collaborate on global economic issues, financial stability, climate change and other important global challenges. The G20 is a group of the world’s major economies and plays a key role in shaping global policies.
The G20 was founded in 1999 with the primary purpose of addressing global financial crises and promoting economic growth. The summit is held annually, where leaders of member countries (such as prime ministers, presidents or their representatives) come together to discuss global issues.
The G20 holds significant influence due to its members, who represent about 85% of the world’s total GDP and about 75% of global trade.
