Punjab vs KKR : The clash between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in yesterday’s IPL encounter delivered an exciting contest filled with momentum swings, standout performances, and high-pressure moments that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
The toss was won by Kolkata Knight Riders and they chose to bat first.
The match started and after 3.4 over suddenly it started raining heavily and match got interrupted by the rain.
The audience couldn’t enjoy the match and all the hopes were ruined by the rain.
Kolkata batted for 3.4 overs and their score was 25 for loss of 2 wickets.
Ajinkya Rahane (Captain) and Angrish Raghuvanshi were not out in yesterday’s match.
Punjab’s Bowler Xavier Bartlett took 2 wickets in a single over and the wickets were of Cameron Green and Finn Allen.
After the rain, the DLS Method and cut off time started and inspections were done by the umpires.
Still there was some hope that we can witness a 5 over game at 11:15.
10:30 the rain was stopped but the ground was having moisture in the outfield.
At 11:00 the game was called off and both the teams got 1 point each in points table and Punjab became table toppers.
If this was a 5-over game they could have been at the receiving end because they only have 1.2 overs left and not much on the board. Even with DLS, the target wouldn’t have been high for PBKS.
