Saharanpur businessman Saurabh Babbar and his wife Mona Babbar from UP committed suicide together due to debt. The couple took their own lives by jumping into the river Ganga in Haridwar. Before their deaths, they sent a photo of their suicide note to their friend on WhatsApp. It is reported that they had a loan of crores, and due to losses in their business, they were unable to repay it.

They had traveled to Haridwar by bike.

The names of the married couple from Saharanpur were Saurabh Babbar and Mona Babbar, and they owned a jewelry shop in Kishanpura, Saharanpur. They had traveled to Haridwar, covering a distance of about 100 kilometers by bike to commit suicide. There, they took a final selfie and sent a suicide note to their friend before jumping into the Ganga River. So far, only Saurabh’s body has been found, and the search for his wife Mona’s body is ongoing.

In the note sent to their friend’s phone before committing suicide, they wrote that they were fed up with creditors and could not make any more payments. Therefore, they and their wife were ending their lives. They also wrote that they were leaving their children in the care of their grandmother because they did not trust anyone else. They called home for the last time afterward. The couple had been married for 18 years and had two children: a 12-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son who is disabled.
