This is the first model of the company’s upcoming 6 electric vehicles, which can be launched by the end of this year. This car is the third model being built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular EV platform, on which the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe are based.

Skoda Elroq will get all LED lighting setup

The company has shown only the front look of the car in the teaser, in which Skoda badging and upper lighting elements are visible. According to Skoda, the car will get a split headlamp design, which may have a broken LED DRL strip on the bonnet line and illuminated elements extending over the closed grille below. Skoda has also confirmed that the SUV will have larger wheels and matrix LED headlamps.

Skoda Elroq: Will it come to India?

The world premiere of the Skoda Elroq will take place later this year. Apart from the Allroc and Enyaq, Skoda had released the teaser of another compact electric SUV named ‘Epic’ in early March-2024. It is expected that Epic will also be based on MEB modular electric architecture. Therefore, Elrok will be placed between Epic and Enyaq.

At the same time, Enyaq will be sold in India as a Complete Built Unit (CBU – i.e. completely built car). At present, the company has not given any information about the launch of Elroq in India. Elroq will compete with cars like the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX.

Skoda will launch 6 new electric cars by 2026

Skoda will launch 6 new electric cars in the Indian market by 2026. It was released silhouette images of these cars at its ‘Let’s Explore’ event. There will be 4 new pure electric cars among these cars.

This includes a 4.1 meter small SUV, a compact SUV, a combi wagon and a 4.9 meter long MPV. The remaining two will be updated models of the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe.

Enyaq iV will soon be launched in the Indian market as a premium imported electric car. It will compete with Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
