Tata Motors has released the official teaser of the upcoming electric SUV Curvv. The company is going to launch the car in the Indian market soon. Tata first introduced the concept model of the car. After this, its pre-production model and testing model have been revealed on different occasions.
The company will first launch the electric version of the Curvv in the market and after this its ICE version will also be introduced. In the teaser, the company has shared some elements of the upcoming electric SUV. The car will be equipped with safety features like 6 airbags and 360 degree camera and it can also get Level-2 ADAS.
Tata Curvv: Ex-showroom price can be Rs 20 lakh
The ex-showroom price of Tata Curvv EV can start from Rs 20 lakh. In India, it will compete with MG’s ZS EV and upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. The company will also launch the ICE version of Curvv by the end of the year. Its ex-showroom price can be Rs 10.50 lakh.
The ICE version of Tata Curvv will compete with Citroen Basalt, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushak.
Connected tail lights will be available in the front and rear
The teaser shows the sloping roofline and alloy wheel design of the Curvv EV. These wheels look like the Nexon EV, although they have aero inserts. It will get connected light setup in the front and rear like the Nexon EV.
The car also has flush type door handles. This will be Tata’s first car with this feature. Apart from this, other design elements like closed-off grille have already been shown in the Curve EV.
Sequential turn signals with full LED lighting
The Curvv EV has been designed on Tata’s new Active.EV platform. The Punch EV is also built on this platform. It will come with the brand’s new design language, which includes a distinctive grille, a front bumper with wide air dam, LED headlamp cluster and fog lamp assembly like the updated Harrier and Safari SUV.
Design elements include sequential turn signals, square wheel arches, dual-tone alloy wheels and a strong body cladding. The windows are finished in chrome. The rear profile features a clean bumper with a slope roof, a full wide LED light strip, bumper-integrated taillamps and a split aero rear spoiler.
Tata Curvv: Will get features like Nexon
The Curvv coupe SUV will get features like a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver display like the Nexon. Apart from this, panoramic sunroof, 2-spoke steering wheel, wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, air purifier and a premium audio system will be available.
Curvv EV will come with a range of 500 km
So far no information has been revealed about the battery pack and motor of the Curvv Electric SUV. But, the Curve SUV electric model is expected to get a range of more than 500 km.
There can be a choice of two battery packs in it. It will support DC fast charging and will also have functions like vehicle-to-load (V2L), drive mode and adjustable energy regeneration.
