Meanwhile, it has now been announced that the film has now been made tax free in Gujarat. Officials shared this update on Thursday and said that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken this decision after watching the film recently.
After Haryana and Chhattisgarh, Film Declared Tax-Free in Gujarat
Recently, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel watched actor Vikrant Massey’s film The Sabarmati Report and was very impressed by it. After this, the CM took an important decision and made the film tax free in the state.
Earlier, the film has been made tax free in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised the film after watching it.
The Story of ‘The Sabarmati Report’
The Sabarmati Report is based on the tragic incident of February 27, 2002, when a coach of the Sabarmati Express was set afire near Godhra station in Gujarat, killing 59 people, most of them kar sevaks.
The incident led to widespread riots across the state. The film brings this story to the big screen with a sensitive and compelling narrative.
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also watched ‘The Sabarmati Report’. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and other leaders were also with him.
After watching the film, the CM declared it tax free in UP. The film stars Vikrant Massey, Raashi Khanna and Riddhi Dogra in lead roles.
