The 37-year-old actor shared a post on social media saying that it is time for him to “return home”. He also revealed that his two upcoming films in 2025 will mark the end of his acting career.
Vikrant Massey may have decided to say goodbye to the film industry, but his recent film The Sabarmati Report is making a splash at the box office. Released on November 15, the film has received a lot of praise from the audience as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
PM Modi Watches Vikrant Massey’s Film
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently watched Vikrant Massey’s new film. A special screening of The Sabarmati Report was held at 4 pm at Parliament House on the evening of Monday, December 2.
The screening took place at the Parliament Library Building, where PM Modi joined members of the NDA to watch the film.
The film’s team, including producer Ekta Kapoor, director Dheeraj Sarna and actors Vikrant Massey, Riddhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna, were also present at the event. Ekta Kapoor’s father and veteran actor Jeetendra also came to Delhi to attend the screening.
Vikrant Massey Overwhelmed with Happiness
After the screening, actor Vikrant Massey shared his thoughts with the media. He said that getting the opportunity to watch the film with Prime Minister Modi was the pinnacle of his life.
Massey said that he was feeling nervous and added that he was having difficulty fully expressing his feelings in words. However, his happiness was evident after sharing the experience with the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet.
When asked about his retirement from the film industry, Vikrant chose to ignore the questions and instead focused on the celebratory moment.
Earlier, Modi had shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) praising the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’. In his post, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Very well said. It is good that the truth is coming out in a way that common people can see. Lies can last for some time, but in the end, only the truth matters.”
