Tragic Road Accident in Unnao: A devastating accident occurred in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning, claiming the lives of 18 people and leaving over 30 injured. A double-decker bus travelling from Sitamarhi in Bihar to Delhi collided with a milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, resulting in the bus breaking into pieces.

The passengers on the bus had embarked on their journey with dreams of earning money in Delhi to support their families and build better futures. However, their aspirations were tragically cut short in Unnao.
The Scene of the Accident
The collision between the high-speed bus and the milk tanker caused chaos and terror, with screams and cries echoing from the site. The horrific nature of the accident meant that 18 people lost their lives instantly, unable to make it to the hospital. The accident’s impact extended from Sitamarhi and Shivhar districts in Bihar to Champaran district.
Immediate Aftermath
The double-decker bus, carrying passengers and their hopes, met a devastating fate near Unnao. The crash’s severity resulted in immediate fatalities, with many others sustaining injuries. Fortunately, reports indicate that the condition of the injured is stable, and they are out of danger.
Survivors and Casualties
Amidst the tragedy, there is a glimmer of hope as 20 passengers managed to survive the crash and have been sent to Delhi. A total of 39 people were saved from the wreckage. Most of the passengers were workers traveling to Delhi for employment opportunities.
Fortunate Escape
The bus collided with the milk tanker from the front, causing significant damage to the front and right side. Those seated in the front bore the brunt of the impact, resulting in the majority of fatalities. Passengers seated in the back were luckier and avoided the same fate, highlighting the random nature of survival in such accidents.
