The OYO report also states that cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata topped the list in terms of bookings. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh maintained its position as the most popular state for travel.

Maharashtra, Telangana and Karnataka remained major contributors to the travel scenario. Smaller cities like Patna, Rajahmundry and Hubli saw an increase of up to 48% in year-on-year bookings.

Decline in Bookings in Mumbai

Oyo stated, “This year’s holiday season saw a surge in travel activity. Jaipur remained a major attraction for tourists, followed by evergreen favourite destinations such as Goa, Puducherry and Mysore. However, Mumbai saw a decline in bookings.”
