Brahmin Youth’s Sacred Thread Cut and Thrown Away in Broad Daylight
In a shocking incident, a Brahmin youth named Akhilesh had his janeu forcibly cut off and discarded in broad daylight. Akhilesh was on his way to attend a devotional event organized by the Brahmin community when he was stopped near Palayamkottai by three motorcycle-borne individuals. They not only cut off his sacred thread but also threatened him, warning him never to wear it again.
