We all have been taught in school that everything we see and touch is made up of atoms. These atoms cannot be seen through the naked eye but contain negatively charged electrons, positively charged protons, and neutral neutrons.

Mostly, the number of Electrons and Protons is equal. But when an atom has more electrons, it creates a negative charge and gets attracted toward the positive electrons of a person or another object. This kind of current is called static current.

The Reason For This Electric Jerk

These types of electric charges are mostly formed in winter and sometimes in summer when the climate around us is dry. When there is dryness in the air the electrons mostly develop on the surface of the skin and as soon as they come in contact with positively charged objects, electrons get their way out leaving us in a trap. During this process, the air particle breaks out and causes electric jerk which is like a needle drilling in the skin.

Preventions From these

However, these types of shocks are not uncommon and do not have any serious effect on your body. But here are some ways to avoid this kind of jerk.

1. Wear natural fibers- Try to wear clothes from natural materials like cotton and avoid Synthetic.

2. Grounding Exercises – Walk barefoot on natural surfaces like grass and sand to connect with the earth’s energy.

3. Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water to maintain optimal conductivity in your body

4. Moisturize- Keep your skin moisturized to reduce its ability to generate static electricity.

5- Energy flow- Practice pranayama (breath control) to regulate energy flow and reduce static buildup.

6. Breathwork- Deep breathing techniques help release built-up tension and calm the nervous system.
