If you use microblogging platform X, then there is an important update for you. Elon Musk’s company X has given a big shock to millions of Indian users by increasing the prices of its premium subscription plan.
Indian X users will now have to pay 35% more for the premium plan. This means that the increased price will be reflected in your next bill.
How Much You’ll Pay for a Month
X has increased the prices of its Premium plan in several markets including India. The new prices apply to both new and existing users. Under the revised rates, users will now have to pay ₹1,750 for the Premium Plus plan, up from ₹1,300 earlier.
Annual Plan Cost Increased
If you choose the Premium Plus annual plan, you will now have to pay Rs 18,300, while earlier it was priced at Rs 13,600. X has given three reasons for the price hike in its premium plan. According to the company, users will no longer see ads on this platform. The move is aimed at providing more earnings to content creators and introducing new features for users.
X said that premium plan subscribers will get more benefits than ever before. Users will now get access to the “Radar” feature, as well as better opportunities to use the platform’s AI models.
The company emphasized that subscription payments directly benefit content creators. Going forward, X will not only track ad impressions, but will also focus on how much users engage with and appreciate creators’ content.
