During the launch of ‘Grok 3’, Musk was sitting with the team members of artificial intelligence company xAI. Musk also showed the capabilities of Grok 3. He also explained how Grok 3 can compete with other AI models like OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek and beat them.

Musk said, ‘We are very excited to introduce Grok 3. We believe that in a very short time we have made it many times more capable than Grok 2.’

Grok 3 is ahead of other AI models

During the launch, Musk and the xAI team explained how Grok 3 is ahead of other AI models like OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek. He explained how Grok 3 is better than all other models like Gemini 2 Pro, Cloud 3.5 Sonnet, GPT 4o and DeepSeek V3 in maths, science and coding benchmarks.

Musk has also announced the reasoning model of ‘Grok 3’. It will compete with models like OpenAI o3 Mini, DeepSeek R1 and the recently launched Gemini 2.0 Flash Reasoning.

Grok 3 will show users a series of its thoughts. This will give them a chance to see how the chatbot solves problems and answers users’ questions.

Grok 3 Deep Search also announced

Along with this, xAI also announced ‘Deep Search’, which is Grok’s own AI agent. xAI’s deep search works just like OpenAI’s deep research AI agent. With which users can research questions and get detailed answers. It can also save their time.

Musk said, ‘Something that may take you half an hour or an hour to research on the web or search on social media. You can do the same work in 10 minutes with the help of deep search.’

How can you use Grok 3?

Grok 3 has been rolled out from today. It will be available to customers using X’s Premium + plan. The price of this plan starts from ₹ 1,525 per month or ₹ 18,300 annually.

Musk has also announced a separate subscription called Super Grok for his dedicated fans. Users taking this subscription will get all the new updates and features of Grok 3 first.

Why was Grok named?

The word Grok comes from Robert Heinlein’s novel Stranger in a Strange Land. In the novel, this word is used for a character who grew up on Mars. This word means to understand something completely and deeply. Hence, xAI and Elon Musk named their AI model Grok.
