Chinese tech company Xiaomi today (March 11) launched two smartphones ‘Xiaomi 15’ and ‘Xiaomi 15 Ultra’ from its flagship smartphone series ‘Xiaomi 15’ in the Indian market.
In Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the company is offering Snapdragon 8 Elite processor running on Xiaomi Hyper OS 2, 200MP telephoto camera equipped with 1 inch main lens and liquid 6.73 inch display protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0. Its price in India is Rs 1.10 lakh.
The base variant of the series i.e. Xiaomi 15 has a starting price of Rs 65,000. Buyers will be able to buy it from the company’s official website and e-commerce platform Amazon from March 19. Pre-booking of the smartphone has started. The company is giving a discount of up to Rs 10,000 in the bank offer.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Design
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone is available in dual-tone finish in black and white color. There are four cameras in a large circular rear camera module on its back panel, which is branded by Leica. The thickness of the smartphone is 9.48mm and the weight is 229 grams.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Specifications
Display: The smartphone has a 6.73-inch quad curved WQHD + AMOLED display with 3200 x 1440 pixels and 522 ppi resolution. Its refresh rate is 120Hz and peak brightness is 3200 nits. The company has also provided protection of Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 in it.
Camera: For photography and video recording, the circular setup on the back panel of the smartphone has a 50MP LYT-900 image sensor, Leica 200MP ultra telephoto lens, 50MP floating telephoto lens and 50MP Leica ultra wide sensor. For selfie and video calling, the company has given a 32MP in-display camera in the smartphone.
Processor and OS: The Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone has an 8 Elite SoC chipset. Which is paired with Andrio GPU. The smartphone works on Android 15 based Xiaomi Hyper OS2 operating system.
Battery and Charging: The Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone has a 5410mAh Xiaomi Surge battery. To charge it, a 90W wired hyper charger and an 80W wireless charger will be available. To make the smartphone heat-proof, it has a Xiaomi 3D dual-channel ice loop system.
Other features: Xiaomi 15 Ultra has ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, GPS- L1+L5, stereo speakers, IP68* rating for protection against water and dust. Apart from these, the smartphone has USB 3.2, Wi-Fi 7, 6, 5 and Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC.
