Begusarai Gang Rape Case: A shocking and deeply disturbing incident has come to light from Bihar’s Begusarai district, raising serious questions about women’s safety and local law enforcement.
A 28-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men from her own village. The attackers committed a horrific crime, going to the extent of inserting foreign objects, including a live bullet, into her private parts.
The investigation into the Begusarai gang rape case has now intensified, with senior police officials stepping in to closely monitor the situation and hunt down the criminals.
The Night of the Incident
Begusarai Gang Rape Case: According to the statement given by the survivor’s husband, the tragic incident took place late at night on June 11. At approximately 11:30 PM, the woman stepped out of her room to use the washroom, which is located outside in the courtyard of their house.
At that exact moment, a group of five men entered their premises to carry out the attack.
Before targeting the woman, the accused first locked her husband inside his room from the outside so he would be completely unable to come to his wife’s rescue.
As the woman came out of the washroom, the men suddenly overpowered her. To ensure she could not scream or raise an alarm, they tied her mouth tightly using a saree.
They then dragged her to a secluded spot near the house, tied her up with ropes, and took turns raping her. Whenever she tried to fight back or shout, they beat her mercilessly.
Extreme Brutality and Medical Discoveries
Begusarai Gang Rape Case: The physical assault involved extreme acts of cruelty. The attackers used a blade to inflict deep cuts and wounds on the woman’s chest and thighs.
Before fleeing the scene and leaving the survivor completely unconscious, they inserted a live bullet, a heavy stone, and a piece of wood into her private parts.
After the five men ran away, the husband managed to call a family member who came and unlocked his room door.
He immediately rushed his unconscious wife to the Sadar Hospital at the district headquarters for emergency treatment. She received initial medical care on June 12 and was discharged.
Despite returning home, the survivor continued to suffer from severe and continuous internal pain. When the agony became unbearable, she was admitted to the hospital for a second time.
On the morning of June 17, doctors performed an ultrasound scan to find the root cause of her suffering. The medical scans revealed a shocking truth: foreign objects were stuck inside her body.
The doctors quickly operated and successfully removed the live bullet, the stone, and the piece of wood.
Interestingly, while the medical examination reports officially confirmed the rape on June 13, local police initially registered only a physical assault case.
The full truth of the brutality only came out after her readmission to the hospital. Anand Kumar Pandey, SDPO Sadar, later stated clearly to the media, “Rape and assault with the victim have been confirmed.”
Previous Attack and Alleged Police Negligence
The survivor’s husband revealed a very troubling background to this crime, stating that these men had targeted his family earlier this year. In March, the same group of accused men had forcibly entered their home and attempted to sexually assault his wife.
When that attempt failed, the men brutally assaulted the family members and looted valuable items from the house.
A village panchayat meeting was held, and an FIR was finally registered in May regarding the March incident.
However, the husband strongly alleges that the local police failed to take any strict or effective action. Due to this police negligence, the attackers easily secured bail. Feeling fearless, they returned on June 11 to exact revenge.
Current Police Investigation and Manhunt
Following the horrifying medical discoveries and growing public anger, senior officers, including DSP-rank officials, have been stationed at the district hospital to record detailed statements and gather strong evidence.
Begusarai Superintendent of Police (SP), Manish Kumar, personally visited the hospital to review the probe.
An FIR has been lodged at the Chakiya police station. The survivor has identified three of the accused as Ram Babu Nishad, Suraj Kumar, and Nitish Kumar.
The other two men remain unidentified but were part of the same group. SP Manish Kumar confirmed to the media that a special police team has been formed, and continuous raids are currently underway to arrest the culprits.
He also assured that the police will investigate the previous delays and negligence related to the older case. As of now, no arrests have been made in either the old case or the new gang-rape case.
Public Anger and Demand for Justice
The local residents of Begusarai are filled with outrage after learning the details of this brutal assault. Villagers and social activists are demanding immediate and strict justice.
They have openly warned the local authorities that if the police fail to arrest the five accused men quickly, the public will resort to direct action and protests.
The survivor remains under close medical supervision at the hospital as the search for the accused continues.
