Telangana Mass Murder: In a chilling incident that has sent shockwaves across Ranga Reddy district in Telangana, a 35-year-old man, who was previously booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, allegedly murdered six people in a series of brutal attacks late on Friday night.

According to the police, the deceased include the suspect’s wife, his two minor sons, and three members of the family that had filed the sexual harassment complaint against him.

The suspected killer, identified by law enforcement authorities as B. Rajkumar, a resident and farmer from Shabad mandal, carried out the mass killings within a span of a few hours before fleeing the area.

The local police department has deployed multiple teams to trace the suspect, who remains at large.

The Genesis: Previous POCSO Case and Subsequent Release

Telangana Mass Murder: According to police officials, the roots of the horrific crime trace back to May, when a minor girl and her mother filed a formal police complaint against Rajkumar.

Based on their statement, he was booked under Sections 11 and 12 of the POCSO Act on charges of stalking and sexual harassment.

As per legal provisions applicable to the specific sections invoked against him, the maximum prescribed punishment for the offense was less than seven years.

Consequently, Rajkumar managed to secure his release after executing a personal bond of ₹20,000. Media reports indicate that the suspect had harbored intense resentment against the victim’s family since his release, culminating in the planned retaliatory attack.

Timelines of the Attack: From Shabad Town to Native Village

Telangana Mass Murder: Initial investigations conducted by the local law enforcement agencies reveal a calculated and gruesome sequence of events that unfolded between late Friday night and midnight on July 10.

The Attack on the Complainant’s Family

According to police accounts, the suspect drove approximately six kilometers from his native village to Shabad town around 10:45 p.m.

He targeted the residential house of the teenage girl who had accused him of harassment.

When the girl’s 42-year-old mother opened the main entrance door, Rajkumar reportedly launched a fatal assault using a knife.

He then rushed inside the premises and allegedly attacked the girl’s 60-year-old grandmother, who was asleep in her bed.

Following the twin murders inside the house, the suspect forced the 16-year-old girl into his vehicle. A Shabad police official noted that the suspect left the girl’s 20-year-old mentally challenged sister unharmed at the scene before driving away.

Media reports further indicate that the suspect took the teenager to a field near a local lake, where he allegedly assaulted and stabbed her to death, leaving her body near the bund.

The Massacre of the Accused’s Own Family

After eliminating the complainant’s family, Rajkumar reportedly drove back to his own residence. According to the police logs, he entered his house at approximately 11:21 p.m..

Within a span of just six minutes, the suspect slit the throats of his 31-year-old wife and his two young sons, aged four years and 18 months respectively, while they were fast asleep. He left the house at 11:27 p.m. after completing the killings.

Confession over Phone Call and Police Investigation

According to reports from the ground, shortly after committing the crimes, Rajkumar placed a phone call to his father and other close relatives around 11:50 p.m.

During the call, he reportedly confessed to the multiple murders, stating that he had permanently silenced both families. He also threatened to end his own life before disconnecting the call and using the cover of darkness to escape.

Upon receiving information about the mass casualty incident, top police brass, including Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi, rushed to both crime scenes along with forensic experts and dog squads.

Both areas were cordoned off for extensive evidence gathering, and the six bodies were shifted to a state hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Massive Manhunt Launched to Locate the Fugitive

The Telangana Police department has taken the matter with utmost seriousness. Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi assured the public that stringent action would be taken and the perpetrator would be brought to justice swiftly.

According to media reports, the department has formed seven specialized teams to track down Rajkumar. Raids are actively being conducted across multiple suspected hideouts, forest patches, and transit points in Ranga Reddy and neighboring districts to locate the fleeing suspect.
