Along with rolling out the second public beta version, the company has also confirmed some features. It includes many other features like theft detection lock, private space and AR support in Google Maps.

Let us know about some special features coming in the latest Android 15.

Theft detection lock

The company will roll out the theft detection lock feature by the end of this year. Google said in a blog post that if someone ever snatches your phone from you, this feature will help in keeping your personal and financial data safe.

If someone snatches your phone from your hand and runs away, theft detection will sense it. If it feels that your phone is being stolen then it will immediately lock the phone. This will protect your personal and financial data from falling into the wrong hands.

Private space

The Private Space feature gives Android smartphone users a separate space with extra authentication. Here sensitive apps can be kept hidden from the eyes of others. For example, you can hide health and banking apps, so that no one else will be able to see or use those apps.

The company says that due to direct integration with the operating system, Private Space provides better security and data isolation option for sensitive apps. Users can also set a separate lock (fingerprint, pattern, PIN) for private spaces.

AR support in Google Maps

Android smartphone users will soon be able to view Augmented Reality (AR) content directly on Google Maps. Through this, people will be able to know any place in a new way along with getting better experience while navigation. Google is working together with Samsung and Qualcomm to provide this feature.

AI on Google TV

The company has said in the blog post that Google TV will help you search content faster with AI based recommendations. So you can spend more time watching rather than searching for content. An AI generated description will also appear on the homescreen with the Gemini model.
