On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the crew of an IndiGo flight found a note in the lavatory of the plane mentioning that there was a bomb inside the plane. As soon as this information was received, an emergency landing of the flight was made and all the passengers were safely landed in the isolation bay. According to the sources, information about the bomb in Indigo flight 6E-5314 was received through a note at around 08:40 this morning.
It was written in the note, ‘Do not land in Bombay, otherwise, you will be bombed’. After which the security agencies were immediately informed about this and as per the prescribed protocol, all the passengers were safely evacuated and placed at an isolated place. The flight is being searched and further action is also being taken.
IndiGo says that the aircraft will be brought back to the terminal area only after the security checks are completed. It’s not the first time when bomb threats are received on a flight. Even before this, such threats had been given twice.

Received second bomb threat in a week

Indigo Airlines has received such a threat for the second time within a week. Earlier on May 28 also a similar threat was given. At that time, Indigo flight 6E-2211, which was going from Delhi to Varanasi, was threatened with a bomb. Delhi Fire Service had said that they had received this threat at 5.35 in the morning. At that time there were 176 people on board the flight, which included 2 children. After receiving the threat, all the passengers were evacuated through the emergency gates.

Such incidents are happening daily

Many such incidents have been heard in 2024 in which airports, hotels, and schools have been threatened with bombs. Who knows how many such cases have come to light in May alone? First of all, on May 1, fake mail was received in 131 schools of Delhi-NCR in which all the schools were threatened to be bombed. After investigation, it was revealed that he had been sent to Russia. Then a similar mail came to 50 schools in Jaipur on 13 May. 7 schools in Kanpur, in McDonald’s in Mumbai, on a flight from Delhi to Vadodara, and now on a flight from Chennai to Mumbai.
