Australia won the fifty overs matches played at Nottingham and Leeds while the hosts, England won the matches played at Chester Le Street and Lords. Yesterday, England were quite clinical with the bat in hand after the Aussies sent the home side to bat first. The stand skipper of this fifty overs series, Harry Brook, Ben Duckett and Liam Livingstone were the stars with the willow in hand as the hosts piled up 312 runs in their allotted 39 overs quota.

The Aussies were all over the place in yesterday’s game. They will want to come up with a collective performance in the series-deciding match. Their bowlers went for plenty of runs. Especially Mitchell Starc who gave away 24 runs in the final over which was the most by him in his ODI career and then the batting also didn’t fire and that too in a tall run chase of 313 runs from 39 overs. Marsh and Travis Head were the only top scorers for them while the others couldn’t keep up the fight and Australia was bundled out for 126 runs in 24.4 overs.

Matthews Potts took a four-wicket haul, Brydon Carse’s 3 scalps, Jofra Archer’s 2 wickets and Adil Rashid also got one wicket to his name. This collective effort allowed England to win this game by a margin of 186 runs and also level the five-match fifty overs series to two all with one game still to be played, which is scheduled tomorrow.
