IND vs BAN: Despite being 233 overs short of the second and the last Test match at Green Park in Kanpur and two back-to-back days being washed out due to the rains, India has the match result in their favour. But they couldn’t grasp those chances which led to their own downfall and the Tigers are still in the search of their first Test win against India. Bangladesh had lost the series by a margin of two nil after they were bundled out for just 146 runs in their second innings which had set a score of just 95 runs for India to win this red ball game.

1. Ravindra Jadeja –
The spin bowling all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja got to 300 Test wickets in the first innings after he picked up the last Bangladeshi batter, Khaled Ahmed. Then in the second innings, Jaddu picked up three wickets and triggered a collapse in the Bangladeshi innings. The visitors resumed the last day of this Test match with their overnight score of 26 runs for the loss of two wickets.
Ashwin picked up the wicket of Mominul Haque, the unbeaten and lone centurion of his team in the 1st innings. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shadman Islam proceeded the innings nicely with a partnership of 55 runs. Jadeja broke that stand and brought India back into the contest. Later he picked up two more scalps of Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan, which had put India in the driver’s seat.
2. Jasprit Bumrah –
The lead Indian pace bowler was named in yesterday’s segment as well when he picked up three wickets to his name and today also Boom Boom Bumrah picked up a three fer which sent Bangladesh packing home. Jasprit Bumrah also had the best economy rate in the 1st and 2nd innings when the Tigers tried to roar in this red-ball match. In the 1st innings, Bumrah had an economy rate of 2.80 and in the second innings, his economy rate was 1.80.
3. Yashaswi Jaiswal –
Just like Bumrah, the young Indian opener was also mentioned in yesterday’s segment. Yashaswi has been awarded the Player of the Match award for his back-to-back half-century in this red ball match. In the 1st innings, he scored 72 runs and today in India’s second innings, he scored 51 runs. Both of these knocks came at a good pace that allowed the Men in Blue to go for the win despite the loss of time in this Test match in Kanpur.
4. Shadman Islam –
Bangladesh had started decently in the 1st innings on day one when only 35 overs were played. Shadman Islam scored 24 runs to his name. He also got a start in the 2nd innings of the 1st Test match in Chennai. But on both occasions, the Bangladeshi opener couldn’t carry on his innings. However, in the second innings of the last red ball match, Shadman smashed a half-century on day 5 and got out to Akash Deep.
5. Mehidy Hasan Miraz –
While defending just 95 runs in the fourth innings, Bangladesh needed to pick up some early wickets that would cause some panic in the Indian camp and that’s what Mehidy Hasan Miraj did in the second innings of the Men in Blue. He picked up Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. But that didn’t stop India from clinching the second Test match and the series in Kanpur.
