Army: Indian Soldiers Eliminate Two Pakistani Terrorists in Kashmir Near Sacred Temple

Must read

Army: Two Pakistani terrorists infiltrated Indian territory from Pakistan, aiming at a sacred temple located dangerously close to the Line of Control (LOC) in the Kashmir region. Unlike past incidents, this attack was distinctive in two major aspects. First, the terrorists were heavily armed with high-calibre weapons, including AK-47s and 3mm guns. Second, instead of attacking a densely populated area, they targeted a temple during the early morning hours on Monday. The terrorists, seizing the moment during morning prayers, took the devotees inside hostage and opened fire.

Strategic Military Response Ensures Safety of Civilians

Army: Given the proximity to the LOC, the Indian military quickly devised a robust strategy to counter the threat. The challenge was twofold: to ensure the safety of civilians in the temple and prevent widespread violence in public spaces. The military cordoned off the entire area, carefully minimizing civilian exposure to danger. The National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, renowned for handling such high-stakes situations, were brought in to manage the situation. The commandos successfully evacuated all hostages from the temple, capturing one terrorist while the other two attempted to escape.

Night-Long Operation Leads to Successful Elimination of Terrorists

Army: In a first for anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army deployed NSG commandos alongside BMP-2 tanks equipped with night vision devices to pursue the terrorists. The operation continued throughout the night, leveraging UAVs and drones at dawn to locate the remaining terrorists near the LOC. By the early morning, the Indian Army had surrounded the terrorists and engaged them in a final confrontation, ultimately eliminating both. This strategic operation emphasized India’s commitment to protecting its citizens and its religious sites from external threats.
