Sensex recovered 1,298 points from the day’s low of 80,467. After the day’s trading, it closed at 81,765 with a gain of 809 points.
Nifty also recovered 413 points from the day’s low of 24,295. It closed at 24,708 with a gain of 240 points.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 28 rose and 2 fell. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 41 rose and 9 fell. Among the sectoral indices of NSE, the IT sector closed with the highest gain of 1.95%. While PSU banks and realty sectors closed with a decline.
Foreign investors buy shares worth ₹1,797.60 crore
- Infosys, ICICI Bank, TCS and Bharti Airtel pulled the market up. Whereas, NTPC, Asian Paint and IndusInd Bank pulled the Sensex down.
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei rose by 0.30% and Korea’s Kospi fell by 0.90%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index closed with a gain of 0.12%.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹1,797.60 crore on December 4. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹900.62 crore.
- On December 4, America’s Dow Jones closed at 45,014, up 0.69%. S&P 500 closed at 6,086, up 0.61% and Nasdaq closed at 19,735, up 1.30%.
Listing of shares of Suraksha Diagnostic Limited tomorrow
The shares of Suraksha Diagnostic Limited will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) tomorrow i.e. on 6 December. Its Initial Public Offer i.e. IPO was open from 29 November to 3 December. This IPO has been subscribed a total of 1.27 times.
Sensex market was booming yesterday
Earlier yesterday, on 4 December, the Sensex closed at 80,956 with a gain of 110 points. Nifty also rose by 10 points, it closed at 24,467.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 fell and 15 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 30 fell and 20 rose. Among NSE’s sectoral indices, PSU banking and realty rose by more than 2%.
HDFC Life was the top Nifty gainer with a gain of 2.59%. Airtel was the top loser with a decline of 2.33%.
