A grand Mahakumbh is being organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, in which tourists and devotees from the country and abroad are flocking for the holy bath.
The second royal bath will be on 29 January on the day of Mauni Amavasya. Due to this, a large number of devotees are reaching Prayagraj.
So far, the number of people participating in the Mahakumbh has crossed 15 crores. In the last 17 days, more than 15 crore people have bathed in the holy water of Mahakumbh. On Makar Sankranti, about 3.5 crore devotees, revered saints and Kalpvasis took part in the holy bath.

Mahakumbh: Security Tightened for Mauni Amavasya
It is estimated that 8 to 10 crore people will come on the upcoming Mauni Amavasya. About 40 crore people are expected to come in Mahakumbh 2025. In view of this, full attention is being paid to the convenience of the devotees coming to Mahakumbh. After Mauni Amavasya, the holy bath will be on Basant Panchami in February.

- The barricading system will be strengthened on the routes of the Akharas for Amrit Snan.
- During the main Amrit Snan, flowers will be showered on the saints from a helicopter.
- A total of 21 quintals of rose petals have been arranged.

Unprecedented Rush for Mahakumbh
