With elections around the corner, all political parties are gearing up with their respective plans. Congress has so far declared candidates for 71 seats, releasing its second list recently, which includes the names of 23 additional candidates.

Three Seats Announced in Mumbai

In its second list, Congress has fielded Girish Pandav from Nagpur South. For Mumbai, the party has announced candidates for three seats—Charkop, Sion Koliwada, and Kandivali East. The candidates include Yashwant Jayprakash Singh for Charkop, Ganesh Kumar Yadav for Sion Koliwada, and Kalu Badhelia for Kandivali East.

Key Candidates in Second List

Several other key candidates have also been featured in the list: Swati Sandeep Wakekar from Jalgaon (Jamod), Rajesh Tukaram from Bhusawal, and Shekhar Pramodbabu Shende from Wardha. Other notable candidates include Mahesh Gangane from Akot, Anuja Sunil Kedar from Savner, and Pooja Ganesh Thawkar from Bhandara (SC). The full list spans across several constituencies, including Amgaon, Ralegaon, Yavatmal, and Arni.

Key Districts and Candidate Highlights

In Shrirampur, Hemant Ogle has been chosen as the candidate, while Vijay Govind Patil will contest from Vasai, Abhaykumar Satishrao Salunkhe from Nilanga, and Ganpatrao Appasaheb Patil from Shirol.

Election Timeline and Seat Allocation Formula

The single-phase voting for Maharashtra’s 288 Assembly seats is scheduled for November 20, with results expected on November 23. In the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, the seat-sharing formula has been set at 85-85-85. This allocates 85 seats each to Uddhav Thackeray’s UBT, Sharad Pawar’s NCP, and the Congress, with the remaining seats likely to be distributed among smaller allies.
