Fact-Checking Policy

Report Bharat cares about news, words and headlines to be completely clear and accurate and understands that words have immense power and act accordingly. Writers under the team of Report Bharat must verify the information they gather and write at all times. This includes identifying information such as names, grammatical errors, and factual statements related to the content. In light of our ethical code, the authors perform their own fact-checking using their own judgement and knowledge. Before publishing information online, we double-check it with all appropriate parties.

If we receive a claim regarding fact-checking on our news portal, we first contact the source of the claim for further clearance and supporting information. We also contact individuals and organizations who may have more information or have relevant experience on this topic, as well as research relevant literature on this topic.

We strive to provide as unbiased news, information and data sources as possible as viewed by our counterparts.

Depending on the nature and complexity of the subject, other senior team members of the editorial staff may contribute additional research and change to the authors’ work, and the final product will pass through the hands of our editors. Any piece that is deemed not to be in conformity with our standards by one or more editors is subject to further revision and review before being released for publication. All changes must be properly disclosed in the content to alert readers.
