Two-Stage Selection Process and Exam Pattern
IBPS CSA Recruitment 2027-28: According to official sources, candidates will be selected through a two-tier online examination process comprising Prelims and Mains. The final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of marks scored in the Mains examination.
1.Preliminary Examination Structure
The Prelims exam will carry 100 questions for 100 marks, with a total duration of 60 minutes. Each section will have a sectional timing of 20 minutes:
English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Numerical Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks)
Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks)
2.Mains Examination Pattern
Candidates qualifying for the Prelims will appear for the Mains test. The Mains exam consists of 155 questions totaling 200 marks, with a time duration of 160 minutes (2 hours and 40 minutes):
General/Financial Awareness: 50 Questions (50 Marks) – 35 Minutes
General English: 40 Questions (40 Marks) – 35 Minutes
Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 Questions (60 Marks) – 45 Minutes
Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions (50 Marks) – 45 Minutes
Both phases feature a negative marking penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit, and Qualification
According to media reports, applicants must fulfill the following basic eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification: A graduation degree (UG) in any discipline from a recognized university.
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 to 28 years old. Age relaxations apply to reserved categories as per government norms.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the official language of the state they apply for. They must clear a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) unless they studied the regional language in 10th standard.
Computer Literacy: Candidates must possess a certificate, diploma, or degree in computer operations, or have studied computers as a subject in school/college.
CIBIL Score Requirement: Candidates should maintain a healthy credit history at the time of joining. Applicants with loan defaults must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective bank.
Salary Scale and Application Fee
According to media reports, the initial basic pay for selected Customer Service Associates starts at ₹24,050 per month, which can scale up to ₹64,480 per month over time.
In addition to basic salary, employees are eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance, and other central banking perks.
