Instagram service stopped globally today around 11.30 AM and remained halted for about an hour. Many users reported it being down on other social media platforms, and the service monitoring platform DownDetector.
Many users faced issues in app login and some users were facing server connection issues when Instagram was down. Users were seeing a message which read – ‘Sorry something went wrong’. However, the service resumed at 12:30 pm.
64% of users had problems with login and 24% in the server
According to Downdetector, 64% of users reported issues logging into their Instagram accounts, while 24% of the users faced server connection issues, and 11% had trouble accessing the Instagram app.
Instagram Service Stopped on 15th May and 5th March
Earlier on May 15, Facebook and Instagram were down for many users globally. Then users were facing trouble in refreshing the feed. At the same time, Instagram and Facebook were also down on the night of March 5.
Even then users faced problems in logging in and refreshing the feed. On Facebook, users’ accounts were automatically logged out, while on Instagram, users were unable to refresh new feeds.
3 years ago Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram services stopped for 6 hours
On October 4, 2021, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp platforms were closed globally for about 6 hours. Due to this billion of users had to face problems.
This problem came to light around 9.15 pm. The effect of this outage was also visible on Facebook shares in the American market, and the company’s shares fell by 6%.
