Republic Day 2025: On the occasion of Republic Day, Delhi Metro will start its services at 3:00 am on Sunday, January 26, 2025. This step has been taken to facilitate the people attending the Republic Day celebrations. Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communications), DMRC shared this information.

According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), metro trains will run at an interval of 30 minutes till 6 am. After that, regular metro services will be available as per the standard timetable throughout the day.

Republic Day 2025: DMRC Appeals to Passengers

According to the information provided, the DMRC has urged commuters to plan their travel in advance and avail the early morning metro services to avoid any inconvenience.

Anuj Dayal further said that through this special arrangement, DMRC aims to ensure that people can participate in the Republic Day celebrations and reach their destination on time.

Republic Day 2025: Traffic Advisory Issued

The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for the Republic Day celebrations, detailing restricted routes and diversions. Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) DK Gupta told news agency PTI that entry into the city limits will be restricted from Saturday evening.

A detailed traffic plan has been prepared by Delhi Police, under which entry into border areas will be restricted starting at 9:00 PM on Saturday (January 25). Only essential vehicles will be allowed, and the restriction will remain in effect until the parade concludes.

Besides, there will also be diversions on the roads leading to the parade route from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort.

According to the advisory, the Republic Day parade will begin at 10:30 am from Vijay Chowk and will move towards the Red Fort. The celebrations will also include a ceremony at the National War Memorial near India Gate at 9:30 am.
