ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Prize Money Announcement Expected Soon
The prize money of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has not been revealed yet. However, sources have revealed that the official announcement could be made on February 11 or 12.
The last edition of the tournament was held in 2017, in which Pakistan became the champion. At that time, the winning team received $2.2 million (approximately ₹14.11 crores). Fans and players are eagerly waiting for the prize money details for this year’s tournament.
Meanwhile, the runner-up team received $1.1 million (approximately ₹7 crores). The total prize money for the 2017 season was $4.5 million (approximately ₹28.89 crores). The previous edition of the tournament was held in England.
A Total of 15 Matches in the Champions Trophy
A total of 15 matches will be played between eight teams in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The teams have been divided into two groups. India and Pakistan have been placed in Group A, along with New Zealand and Bangladesh.
At the same time, Group B includes South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan and England. Every team will play three matches in its group.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be held in Dubai, while the second will be held in Lahore. The tournament will conclude with the final match. If a team reaches the final, it will have played a total of five matches in the tournament.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: All Matches to Be Played Across Four Venues
All 15 matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played at four venues. Three of these venues will be in Pakistan, while one will be in Dubai. The Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai. If India qualifies for the final, it will also be held in Dubai; otherwise the title match will be held in Lahore on March 9.
A reserve day has been allotted for the semi-finals and the final. The first semi-final will be played in Dubai, while the second semi-final will be held in Lahore. A total of 10 matches, including one semi-final, will be held at three venues in Pakistan – Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi.
