The first landslide occurred around 1 am in Mundakkai, followed by a second landslide near a school in Chooral Mala at approximately 4 am. The school, along with nearby houses and shops that were being used as a camp, were engulfed by water and mud. Rescue operations are ongoing, with 128 person reported injured so far.
