WTC Final: The 2021 and 2023 World Championship Finals (WTC) were played in the United Kingdom at Ages Bowl in Southampton and Kennington Oval in London. Now as well, the England and Wales Cricket Board will also host the third final of this ICC mega event of the red ball format next year in 2025.

Now the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the dates, venues and timings for the third finals of the World Test Championship Final in 2025. India is again in the pole position like the other two editions of this one-off red ball match event and they might again end up making their third back-to-back finals of the WTC Finals in 2025.

The ICC (International Cricket Council) has announced the venue and dates of this one-off Test match event. The Lords Cricket Ground in London will host this red ball game which will take place from 11th June 2025 to 15th June 2025 and there is also a reserve day as well on 16th June 2025 if needed.

The Lords Cricket Ground in London will host the World Test Championship final for the first ever time. The matches of all three formats played at this venue of Lords are always special. So the teams who will finish in the top two rankings of the WTC will take on each other for the final glory of one of the most iconic stadiums in the world.

WTC Final: Which Teams Have Won The WTC Title Earlier?

The first-ever edition of the WTC (World Test Championship) Final was played in 2021. New Zealand won it at Southampton and in 2023, the Aussies clinched that title at The Oval. Both nations won their finals versus India when Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma led the Men in Blue in the finals.

Date and Day – Wednesday, 11th June To Sunday, 15th June 2025

According to the Test rankings and WTC points table, India and Australia could again be the potential finalists in next year’s event of 2025. The Aussies will go into the event as the defending champions and they are ranked 2nd while the Men in Blue are ranked first on the points table. Still, the two teams are yet to be decided.
