IND Vs ENG ODIs: The Men in Blue won the five-match series of the twenty overs form of the game yesterday in Mumbai. Suryakumar Yadav and his men clinched the T20I series by the margin of 4-1 after their mammoth 150-run win at the Wankhede Stadium on 2nd February 2025.
The two teams, India and England, will head to the fifty-overs series before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 starts. As we all know India will play all their matches in Dubai because of the security reasons in Pakistan. CT 2025 will begin on 19th February 2025.
India will look to maintain their winning run from the shortest format to the ODI format. India didn’t win a single match of the One Day International format in 2024. They lost two matches and one game was tied in Sri Lanka when India toured that island nation last year.

IND Vs ENG ODIs: India’s Squad The Three Match Series Of The Fifty Overs Format –
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravindra Jadeja.
India will aim to bounce back after their losses in 2024 against Sri Lanka. This three match series of the One Day International form of the game will give India much-needed preparation ahead of the ICC event in Dubai. Rohit Sharma was the lone top scorer for India in those three ODIs played against the Lankans.
But the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul had a disappointing series in the island nation last year. Arshdeep Singh will be the player to watch out for in this series of the fifty overs format and it would be interesting to see if Singh can translate his good form from the T20Is to ODIs.
IND Vs ENG ODIs: England’s Squad For The Three One-Day International Matches –
Jos Buttler and his men fought well in the two matches of the five-match T20I series. But it was India who were successful in holding their nerves, especially in Chennai and Pune, where the games were quite close. Now England should look to give improved performances in the upcoming ODI series.
England had a poor ICC ODI World Cup outing in 2023. To prepare for the CT 2025, they will need to do well in this ODI series and get things underway. Jos Buttler will be again the man to watch out for from the England camp. The Skipper was the highest run-getter in the T20Is as well.
Brydon Carse was the highest wicket-taker from England in the five-match series of the shortest form of the game. He will be expected to do well in the three ODIs as well. England’s ODI squad looks similar to their T20 International squad. Can England turn it around in the ODIs?
Harry Brook, Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone, Brydon Carse, Jamie Overton, Jos Buttler (C), Jamie Smith, Philip Salt (WK), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood, Mark Wood.
