ICC ODI Rankings: ICC has released its latest rankings amidst the Champions Trophy. Due to continuous ODI matches, significant changes can be seen in the rankings this time.
On one hand, Shubman Gill has increased his lead over Pakistan’s Babar Azam, while Virat Kohli has made a great jump. He has definitely got the benefit of scoring a brilliant century against Pakistan in the rankings.
ICC ODI Rankings: Shubman Gill Extends His Lead Over Babar Azam

In the latest ICC rankings, Shubman Gill continues to dominate the No. 1 spot. His rating has now increased to 817. However, he is yet to surpass his all-time high rating of 847, which he achieved in 2023.
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam remains in the second position with a rating of 770. The gap between the top two has widened significantly, making it difficult for Babar Azam to close in on Gill.
Rohit Sharma Retains Third Spot in ICC ODI Rankings
Indian captain Rohit Sharma remains at the third spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings with a rating of 757. Despite not scoring big runs in his last two innings, he has managed to maintain his ranking.
South African power-hitter Heinrich Klaasen is at the fourth spot with a rating of 749. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has moved up one spot to fifth spot with a rating of 743. His unbeaten century (100 off 111 balls) against Pakistan has contributed to his rise in the rankings.
ICC ODI Rankings: Daryl Mitchell Slips to Sixth, Shreyas Iyer Retains Ninth Spot
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell has slipped one place to be at sixth position with a rating of 717. Ireland’s Harry Tector has managed to retain his seventh position with a rating of 713.
Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka is at the eighth position with a rating of 694. India’s Shreyas Iyer is at the ninth position with a rating of 679, while West Indies’ Shai Hope is at the tenth position with 672 rating points.
Interestingly, despite Ireland, Sri Lanka and West Indies not being a part of the Champions Trophy, their players remain in the top 10, which is a significant achievement for them.
