Samsung is all set to launch a new handset in the Indian and global markets soon. This device named Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be the thinnest handset in Samsung’s premium category. It was showcased during MWC 2025.
According to media reports, Samsung is launching this device to compete with Apple’s iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever. The iPhone 17 Air may replace the iPhone 17 Plus. However, Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the launch date.
Samsung Teased It in January
Samsung teased the handset during the Galaxy Unpacked event in January. Now, the device has been showcased at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) in Barcelona, Spain.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Features a Slim Body
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge showcased at MWC 2025 was introduced in a silver colour variant. It has a slim body design, which is attracting a lot of attention. The device comes with a dual rear camera setup on the back panel, which could be similar to the iPhone 16.
According to media reports, this handset will soon be launched in global markets, including India. Earlier reports suggested that the phone was set to debut in April. However, the latest reports now claim that it might be launched in early May.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Limited Units to Be Produced Initially
Reports suggest that the company may produce only 40,000 units of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge initially. The handset is expected to be available in three color options: Blue, Black, and Silver.
