In a run chase of 241 runs versus the arch rivals, Pakistan, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 100 runs and took India home with six wickets to spare. In the semi-final clash against Australia, King Kohli anchored another run chase which allowed India to be in the finals of the Champions Trophy for the fifth time.
Virat Kohli scored a valuable 84 runs and helped the Men in Blue to chase down a score of 265 runs. The King has scored 217 runs in the four matches played in this year’s ICC event of the fifty overs format and Kohli was the fourth highest run getter overall.

Dada has scored 141 runs in the four fifty-over finals of the ICC till now. But now, Virat Kohli will look to be India’s highest run getter in the ICC ODI Finals.
The King is just five runs away from achieving a feat of scoring the most runs in the finals of the One Day International form of the game. As of now, Virat Kohli has scored 137 runs in the five ICC ODI finals and King needs just five runs to pip Sourav Ganguly in this regard.
Apart from Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly, India’s former opener, Virender Sehwag is also been mentioned in this list of the top three highest run getters in the ICC ODI finals. Viru has scored 120 runs in the final ICC events of the fifty overs form of the game.
Australia’s Adam Gilchrist holds the record for scoring the most runs in the finals of an ICC event of the fifty overs format. Gilly scored 262 runs in the four ODI Finals, and Ricky Pointing is second on the overall list. The former Aussie skipper, Punter has amassed 247 runs to his name in the ICC ODI finals.
