Sambhal Murder: BJP Leader Injected with Poison in His Stomach, Attackers Fled the Spot
Sambhal Murder: The incident took place in Daftara village of Sambhal, where senior BJP leader Gulfam Singh Yadav was brutally murdered by injecting poison in broad daylight. The 70-year-old leader was sitting inside his house when suddenly three people on a bike approached him and started talking forcefully.
Before Gulfam Singh could understand anything, the attackers injected poison in his stomach and fled from the spot leaving him in a critical condition. This incident has created a sensation in the entire area and the police have now started an investigation to nab the criminals.
The family immediately took Gulfam to Gunnaur Community Health Center, but due to his critical condition he was referred to Aligarh. But he died on the way. As soon as the news of the murder of the BJP leader was received, there was a stir in the police and administration. The police force reached the spot in a hurry. Gulfam’s body has been sent to Aligarh for post-mortem and the police has started raids to arrest the accused.
Sambhal Murder: SP Spoke to the Family Members
As soon as the incident was reported, Sambhal SP KK Bishnoi and CO Deepak Tiwari reached the spot and talked to the people of the victim’s family. The police is currently scanning the CCTV footage of the surrounding area. It is being claimed that some important clues have been found in the footage, which may help in the early arrest of the accused.
Gulfam Singh Yadav Had Once Contested Against Mulayam Singh Yadav
Sambhal Murder: Gulfam Singh Yadav was a prominent BJP leader who contested the Gunnaur assembly by-election in 2004 as a BJP candidate against Mulayam Singh Yadav. He also served as RSS district karyavah, BJP district general secretary and BJP western Uttar Pradesh vice-president.
His elder son Divya Prakash previously served as the block pramukh of Junawai block in Sambhal district. Gulfam Singh Yadav has a long and influential political history in the region.
