AUS Vs IND: The third red ball match played between AUS Vs IND at the Gabba in Brisbane ended in a draw because of the rains. The five-match series of the Test format is still 1-1 with two matches still to be played in Melbourne and Sydney. India gave a poor show with the bat in Brisbane as well just like they did at the Adelaide Oval. The form of Rohit, Virat, Pant and Jaiswal will worry India ahead of the red ball match at Melbourne. However, the Aussies would be a team with high confidence.

Apart from an injury to one of the premier fast bowlers, Josh Hazlewood, nothing is there to pounder about for the last two matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy series. Australia batted extremely well in Brisbane and their bowlers did a wonderful job as well.

At The Gabba, the Aussies headed a strong position because of Travis’s 152 run knock. Head was the top scorer in this entire match. The third Test was dominated by the rains and Travis Head as well. Head earned a Player of the Match award for his excellent innings and he even picked up a wicket in India’s lone innings.

After the end of the third Test match, India is the team which would be worried even of this red ball match ended in a draw. Steven Smith was struggling for form in the first two matches. But he is now back with an amazing century in the 3rd red-ball game. Smith scored a brilliant 101 runs and he was the second highest run scorer as well.

3. Jasprit Bumrah –

Apart from India’s poor show with the bat in hand, the visitors didn’t bowl well like they did in both innings of a Test match played at Perth. Boom Boom Bumrah has been India’s lone fighter with the red cherry in this BGT series. He is India’s highest wicket-taker till now.

In the Day Night test match and the third Test match, Bumrah didn’t get that desired support from Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana, who played the first two red ball matches of this current series. In the 3rd encounter, Jasprit picked up a six fer in the 1st innings when the Aussies scored a mamoth 445 runs and in the 2nd innings, Bumrah claimed 3 scalps to his name.

After the defeat in the 1st Test match at the Optus Stadium, Skipper Pat Cummins has been leading his team from the front. He did well in the 2nd Test match and also continued his good form in the 3rd red ball encounter as well. Cummins picked up four scalps to his name in India’s 1st innings.

5. KL Rahul

The Karnataka-born cricketer, Kannur Lokesh Rahul hasn’t slammed any centuries as of now in this ongoing red ball series. But he has looked the most organised batter from the Men in Blue. KL has been batting as an opener instead of Rohit in the first three matches.

In the 1st innings at the Gabba in Brisbane, KL scored a vital 84 runs to keep India in the match. Rahul was the top scorer for India in this whole match and Ravindra Jadeja was the other batter who scored the second top score of 77 runs. Akash Deep and Bumrah also did a good job with the bat and helped India to avoid the follow-on.
