Bihar Gang-Rape: In a harrowing development coming closely on the heels of a similar incident in Greater Noida, a 15-year-old minor girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped inside a moving car in Bihar’s Aurangabad district.
According to media reports, law enforcement authorities confirmed on Tuesday that two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the crime, while search operations are actively underway to locate a third fleeing suspect.
The victim, a Class 7 student residing in the Kutumba police station jurisdiction, was targeted while walking along a local road on her way to join her mother at a nearby healthcare facility.
Stranded on the Road: How the Crime Unfolded
Bihar Gang-Rape: According to media reports citing police accounts and family statements, the incident occurred around noon when the victim’s mother, who had gone to the Kutumba Referral Hospital with her younger children, called the teenager to come to the hospital.
Deceit and Forced Entry: The 15-year-old left her residence on foot around 12:00 PM. As she reached near the Deoria canal, three local youths traveling in a Tata Punch car intercepted her. Offering to drop her at the hospital, they coaxed and allegedly forced her into the vehicle.
Music Blared to Drown Out Cries: When the girl realized the car was moving toward an isolated stretch and started screaming for help, the perpetrators turned the car audio system to full volume to drown out her voice.
Held Captive for Hours: Over a span of nearly six hours, the suspects drove the vehicle through remote areas toward the Anugrah Narayan Road and Madanpur stretches, subjecting the victim to repeated sexual assault inside the moving car.
Chilling Threats and Release: Family members reported that after the assault, the accused discussed killing the teenager to suppress evidence.
However, after the girl pleaded repeatedly and promised not to inform anyone, they abandoned her near a local school around 6:00 PM before fleeing the scene.
Frantic Phone Calls, Police Action, and Forensics
Bihar Gang-Rape: When the girl failed to arrive at the hospital, her worried family made multiple phone calls to her mobile device. According to media reports, during one brief call, her family heard her crying out in distress.
Hours later, the victim managed to contact her family, who found her in a traumatized condition near the school.
Prompt Police Intervention: Upon receiving the family’s complaint, Kutumba police registered an emergency FIR under strict provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Arrests Made: Police teams conducted targeted raids and arrested two named suspects, identified as Prince Kumar and Raushan Kumar.
Manhunt and Vehicle Recovery: Special investigation teams supervised by the District Superintendent of Police are conducting raids to arrest the third absconding suspect, identified as Raju Kumar alias Jhunu, and recover the car used in the crime.
Medical & Forensic Protocol: Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams were deployed to map the scene, while the survivor underwent official medical examinations at the Sadar Hospital.
