Delhi Elections: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major setback before the Delhi elections. AAP MLA from Seelampur Abdul Rehman has left the party and joined Congress.
It is worth noting that AAP had already refused to give him a ticket and instead gave the ticket to Chaudhry Zubair Ahmed, son of former Congress MLA Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed.
Delhi Elections: Tahir Hussain has been Announced as the Candidate by AIMIM
Today Asaduddin Owaisi has declared Tahir Hussain as the candidate for his party All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) from Mustafabad in North East Delhi.
Tahir Hussain is a former councillor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who is accused of involvement in Delhi riots.
Abdul Rehman Defeated BJP’s Kaushal Mishra in 2020
In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Abdul Rehman won the Seelampur seat by 36,920 votes. The BJP fielded Kaushal Kumar Mishra against him, who got 35,774 votes. Rehman got 72,694 votes in the election.
