After the defeat in 2017 by the hands of Australia, India came to Pune against The Proteas and won this match by a mammoth margin of an innings and 137 runs. Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 254 runs were enough for India to win the second match and even that three-match series at home. India batted just once in that entire Test match and they declared their innings with a mammoth total of 601 runs.

Mayank Agarwal, Ravindra Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane were also the contributors along with King Kohli in that match. Then the bowlers of the Men in Blue rattled the South Africans twice with the red cherry in hand. The Proteas could amass just 275 runs in the first innings and 189 runs in their second innings. Ashwin picked up 4 scalps in the 1st innings while Jaddu and Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets each to their names in the second innings.
