Apart from Washington Sundar, no other Indian bowler was impressive in the second test match. Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep, who was brought in for Mohammed Siraj went wicketless in this whole Test match. While the spin twins, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t hold their grip on this must-win match. Ash picked up just five wickets and Jaddu got just three scalps in this entire second Test match in Pune.
The Blackcaps side set a target of 359 runs after they got to 255 runs in the second innings. India started off the run chase decently. But they failed to bat long in their second innings.
