Mamta on Elections: Mamata Banerjee has strongly dismissed recent exit poll projections for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, calling them misleading and politically influenced.

In a video message shared on April 30, she expressed confidence in her party’s victory and urged workers to remain alert until the final vote count is completed.

TMC Chief Calls for Strict Monitoring Across All Constituencies

The leader of the All India Trinamool Congress appealed to candidates contesting across all 294 seats to personally supervise the process until counting concludes.

She instructed party workers to remain present during the day, while candidates should take charge during the night to ensure no irregularities occur.

Emphasizing the importance of vigilance, Banerjee stated that even minor negligence could impact the final outcome and added that she herself is prepared to oversee the situation if required.

She also reassured supporters that her party remains in a strong position, predicting a significant victory.

According to her, TMC could secure well above the majority mark, potentially crossing 226 seats.

She urged party members to stay calm, avoid any form of violence, and respond to challenges through democratic means.

Allegations Against Exit Polls and Central Agencies

Banerjee rejected most exit poll forecasts that indicate a possible win for the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that these projections are part of a planned narrative.

She claimed that misinformation was being spread through media channels using financial influence to weaken the morale of her party workers.

Additionally, she accused central authorities of misusing agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, and Income Tax Department during the election period.

She also raised concerns over the role of central forces, alleging instances of intimidation and violence in several areas.

Despite these claims, Banerjee expressed confidence in the electorate, stating that people have already delivered their verdict through voting.

She concluded her message by urging everyone to remain patient until the official results are declared, asserting that the final outcome will reflect the will of the people.
