Sri Ganganagar Rape Case: A highly sensitive and deeply disturbing incident has emerged from Rajasthan’s border district of Sri Ganganagar, where a 13-year-old minor girl was allegedly held captive and subjected to a brutal gangrape over a period of five days.

The revelation of the crime has triggered massive public outrage across the district, prompting swift and stringent intervention by the local administration and law enforcement agencies.

According to media reports, the local police and district administration launched a joint operation to demolish multiple hotel properties linked to the horrific crime.

Officials stated that the earth-moving machines (bulldozers) were deployed because the establishments were operating in absolute violation of building bylaws.

Victim Allegedly Sold to Hotel Operators by a Rickshaw Puller

Sri Ganganagar Rape Case: According to details emerging from police investigations and the First Information Report (FIR), the ordeal began on June 18 when the minor girl went missing from her residence.

The preliminary probe reveals that a local rickshaw puller allegedly sold the victim to local hotel owners and operators.

Following this, the hotel management and staff reportedly kept the teenager confined to the premises.

The FIR notes that multiple hotel operators actively participated in exploiting the teenager.

They allegedly invited several men to the hotel rooms, where the minor was subjected to repeated sexual assaults by more than 30 men over the five-day period.

Forced to Consume Alcohol When Crying in Pain

Sri Ganganagar Rape Case: The details outlined in the FIR reveal a harrowing account of torture. According to media reports based on the victim’s statement, her captors forcefully made her consume alcohol whenever she cried out in pain from the continuous abuse.

This was allegedly done by the perpetrators to suppress her voice and cover up the atrocities being committed inside the rooms.

Police Raid and Rescue Operation

The entire racket came to light on June 23, when local police acted on a tip-off and conducted a strategic raid at a hotel in the city.

During the operation, law enforcement officials successfully rescued the minor from captivity.

Following her rescue, medical examinations and sustained questioning unveiled the layers of the criminal conspiracy.

The Superintendent of Police indicated that investigators are working to track down all individuals who entered the premises during those five days, noting that approximately 30 to 32 men are under the scanner for their alleged involvement in the assault.

Bulldogs Raze Properties as Area Turns into Police Fortress

As news of the horrific assault spread, angry residents took to the streets demanding capital punishment for the offenders and immediate action against the properties enabling the crime.

Under intense public pressure, the district administration executed a major demolition drive against the linked establishments.

Under heavy police and administrative presence, bulldozers razed Hotel Khungar, Joy Inn, and Hotel Saffire to the ground.

To prevent any untoward incidents, the entire commercial area was converted into a virtual fortress with strict security cordons.

The demolition drive was executed under the direct supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Nayan Gautam, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Deepak Sharma, Circle Officer (CO) Vishnu Khatri, and the Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO), along with more than 50 administrative and police officials.

18 Suspects Arrested; Police Assure Uncompromising Action

Providing an official update on the Sri Ganganagar Gangrape Case, Superintendent of Police (SP) Hari Shankar stated that the investigation is being handled with the utmost sensitivity and scientific scrutiny.

“So far, 18 suspects have been taken into custody and formally arrested in connection with the case.

The investigation is actively ongoing, and anyone found directly or indirectly guilty of this heinous crime will face the strictest provisions of the law.

No accused will be spared,” the SP assured.

The district administration reiterated that the targeted hotels were operating illegally and faced demolition due to severe non-compliance with the state’s urban development guidelines and building bylaws.

Political Backlash and Demands for Capital Punishment

The gravity of the incident has sparked widespread social and political debate across Rajasthan regarding women’s safety and the monitoring of commercial lodging houses.

Demonstrators have staged sit-ins outside administrative offices, demanding that the case be tried in a fast-track court with capital punishment as the ultimate penalty for all perpetrators.

Meanwhile, the opposition Congress party organized intense protests targeting the local administration for its perceived failure to prevent the crime.

Political leaders have demanded uncompromised, time-bound legal actions against the entire nexus.

Multiple specialized police teams remain deployed to conduct raids across neighboring districts to apprehend the remaining suspects.
