Tiger Shroff Shooting Case: The investigation into the shocking shooting incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area has taken major strides.
According to media reports, Mumbai Police have arrested a total of 10 suspects in connection with the case following coordinated multi-state operations involving law enforcement agencies across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, and Delhi.
Investigators probing the high-profile case revealed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had originally planned to target superstar Salman Khan.
However, due to Khan’s heightened security detail, the syndicate allegedly pivoted to Tiger Shroff as an “easy second choice” to send an intimidating message to the Hindi film industry.
How the Juhu Shooting Unfolded
Tiger Shroff Shooting Case: The incident sent shockwaves through Bollywood when unidentified gunmen opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle as he was leaving a public appearance near a football ground in Juhu.
According to police sources and media reports, three to four rounds were fired at the actor’s BMW car.
The attack resulted in injuries to two individuals, including the actor’s driver and a fan who had gathered outside to catch a glimpse of the star.
Investigators noted that Shroff narrowly escaped physical harm during the assault because the weapon of one of the shooters reportedly jammed mid-attack.
Following the shooting, the primary suspects attempted to flee the state. In a joint operation conducted by the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force and local police, three main shooters were intercepted and arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, while allegedly trying to escape toward Nepal via Delhi.
Shifting Targets: Why Tiger Shroff Was Targeted
Tiger Shroff Shooting Case: According to Mumbai Police Crime Branch investigators cited in media reports, the syndicate initially tracked Salman Khan following previous threats and the high-profile firing incident outside his Bandra residence in April 2024.
Because Khan’s security protocol was subsequently upgraded to a robust Y-plus arrangement complete with armed personnel, escort vehicles, and round-the-clock monitoring the gang reportedly found it exceptionally difficult to approach him.
Faced with a high-security barrier around their primary target, the operatives allegedly began scanning for alternative prominent figures in the film industry with comparatively lighter security.
Investigators disclosed that the shooters tracked Tiger Shroff’s movements closely for over a week, partly gathering location insights through public social media posts and fan reels.
Discovering that Shroff moved around Mumbai with minimal police protection, the network allegedly identified him as an accessible alternative to spread fear and intimidate those associated with Salman Khan.
Multi-State Arrests Bring Total Suspect Count to 10
The dragnet surrounding the conspiracy has expanded rapidly. Following the initial arrests in Rajasthan, subsequent raids and intelligence inputs led to more breakthroughs.
According to media reports, four individuals including two women were detained from Haryana and Delhi. Additional breakthroughs occurred when Gujarat Police apprehended a suspected syndicate operative, prompting Mumbai Police to arrest two more individuals identified as Samir and Jatin.
Interrogations revealed that Jatin had previously traveled to Amritsar alongside other associates to procure weapons used in the attack.
Meanwhile, Samir allegedly harbored the three primary shooters in an Andheri apartment, where the group frequently rotated between temporary lodges and hideouts to evade police surveillance.
Gang Claims Responsibility and Police Action
Tiger Shroff Shooting Case: An audio clip attributed to gang member Anil Pandit surfaced on social media following the incident, with the speaker claiming responsibility for the assassination attempt and warning individuals associated with Salman Khan.
In response, Mumbai Police have registered cases under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. Authorities are currently conducting technical voice-matching analyses on the circulated audio clips to verify the identity of the speaker.
Meanwhile, security arrangements for several prominent film personalities and production sets across Mumbai have been thoroughly reviewed and reinforced.
